Connect notes with double brackets, in the body or in frontmatter.
Type [[ and pick the note. The link is written as [[Folder/Note]].
To link text you have already written, select it and press ⌘K / Ctrl+K.
A frontmatter value can be a link, and it counts as one:

Anna's note will list this debrief in its backlinks, and the graph will draw the
edge. Quote the value — YAML treats a bare [[…]] as a nested list.
Nothing to maintain. Every note shows what points at it, derived from the links themselves.
Renaming a note updates the links that point at it. Links whose target does not exist are reported rather than quietly rendered as text.
